SPEEDTEST!

Hue motion sensor (PIR test winner) vs mmWave sensors:

– Everything Presence Lite (LD2450)

– Aqara FP2 (IWR6843)

– Athom (LD2410C)

– Tuya (zigbee version) (MR5G21)

Have been testing them all for weeks and months and they all have their strengths and weaknesses. Tuya is cheapest and the only one in this test that strengthens my zigbee mesh. EP Lite runs ESPHome and has zones. The Athom runs ESPHome and has a PIR sensor as well. Aqara is the most expensive and relies on the cloud for setup but is by far the most advanced.

But which is best for pure speed?

I did 15 tests walking fast and slow into the room where the sensors were mounted and the results surprised me. The difference in speed is definitely noticeable.
